A small workshop with a stubborn philosophy.
Classio started in 2003 with two carpenters, a borrowed lathe, and the conviction that good furniture lasts a lifetime. Twenty-two years later, the lathe is ours and there are forty of us — but the conviction hasn't changed.

From timber yard to your living room.
Every piece we make begins in our timber yard, where rough planks of teak, oak, walnut and sheesham are stacked and left to breathe for nine months. Only after the wood has settled — and stopped moving — does it move to the workshop.
There, our karigars cut, joint, sand, and finish each piece by hand. A dining table takes around eleven days. A six-seater sofa, with all the upholstery and webbing, takes about three weeks. We don't rush. Furniture made this way only needs to be made once.
See what we're making nowWhat we stand for
Four things we will never compromise on, no matter the order size.
Joinery, not staples
Mortise-and-tenon, dovetails, dowels. No screws hidden under veneer, no MDF pretending to be wood.
Sustainably sourced
All our timber is FSC-certified and air-dried for at least nine months before it sees a chisel.
Built by people we know
Forty artisans, all on-staff, all paid fair wages. We've worked with most of them for over a decade.
Customer-first, always
If you don't love what we built you, we'll redo it. We have never lost a customer over a disagreement.
Come spend an afternoon with us.
